Champ Camp is a week-long summer camp for burn injured children ages 5-17 years old. It is held in our backyard at Wonder Valley Ranch. Each year, the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation hosts about 150 kids. These survivors are from all across California and from
all walks of life. Activities at Champ Camp include fishing, horseback riding, crafts, canoeing, archery, water slides, campfire, a dance, and team building activities. The main focus of camp is for burn survivors to have fun and just be kids away from medical procedures, financial hardships and the challenges they may face in their day to day lives.
Camp provides a safe environment where burn survivors can play, learn, grow, gain self-esteem, and make new friends. Champ Camp is 100% funded by donations and fundraising. It costs $1,000 to send one child to Champ Camp.
