The program fosters strong partnerships with diverse community organizations to promote career development, leadership skills, life competencies, citizenship, and character education. The Fresno Fire Department matches its own people and program resources to the development of young people towards having a positive and active role in our communities. Since the program’s inception in the early 1990’s, many of the program’s own Explorers have been successful in attaining fire service positions with many fire departments throughout the state.
